For you history buffs, we will archive every article penned by the Shark Team in 2007. As each week is finished, we will move the content to this page so you can reminisce about the good old days ... like week 1.
I don’t like him either, but there are enough stories about what
Randy Moss has done off the field and out of bounds, and why he
won’t win. The easy choice for MVP would be to follow
Antonio Pierce and just anoint
Tom Brady the Prince of the NFL, but the numbers tell another story...
I started posting Fantasy Pro Bowls a couple years ago in one of my leagues to showcase which conference in that league had the best players and took week 17 stats to determine a winner. The game is purely just for bragging rights but it’s always nice to see your player with owners name to show which team had the most studs and which conference was the best.
Happy New Year!
May the New Year bring prosperity and joy to you and yours.
May 2008 ring in positive change.
As for myself, this time of year transitions me from a Fantasy Football writer to analyst.
Week 17 in Review Nick Pagliuca, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Dec 31, 2007
The best game of the weekend, and possibly the year, was played on Saturday Night in the Meadowlands. The
Patriots defeated the Giants in a thrilling, up-and-down game. The Giants held their own against the league’s best and even held a 28-16 second half lead. However, Tom Brady and company were just too much for the Giants defense to handle. Randy Moss and Tom Brady each set their personal TD records while the Patriots improved to 16-0. They finished the regular season at the place where Spygate all began.

Week 17, the last fantasy hurrah. While some leagues have finished up their season to avoid having to play studs that are rested for the playoffs, others are still looking to see how to fill the void. If you made it this far, congratulations!

The Nuthouse enlists help in attempting to address just what the heck happened during the 2007 fantasy football season for auction league owners. Ken Storck of WNST.net answers the call.
How often do you see teams get to the playoffs with a QB that had 9 TDs and 17 INTs?
That would be Mr. V. Young.
How often does a game hinge on the QB having 3 INTs and a fumble lost in the game like Mr. Roethlisberger?
Ed Berliner of The Speeding Bullet Network got some tips from our own Doug Coutts last week. With the regular season over, we went back and talked about the 2007 All-Fantasy Team. We also broke down, by position, how the fantasy player's thoughts and rankings ended up playing out. You'll be surprised to find out how many quarterbacks ended the season as top 10 overall fantasy players. We wondered out loud if the great seasons of so many quarterbacks, specifically Tom Brady, would shift the thinking of everyone on draft day in 2008. Check out the discussion at www.speedingbulletnetwork.com.

It was a thriller in
Pittsburgh and the game’s leading rusher,
DavidGarrard, was also the hero. On a 4th and 2 from the PIT 42,
Garrard scrambled for 32 yards on a QB draw with just under two minutes to go to keep the drive alive and the Jaguars season alive.
JoshScobee would make a 25-yard FG to give the Jaguars the win with under 40 seconds left.
Jacksonville withheld a 4th quarter comeback by the Steelers to advance. Pittsburgh trailed by 18 points in the 4th quarter, but came all the way back to take a 29-28 lead, but only saw it disappear in the closing seconds.
There's been a little chatter iin the forums about IDP rankings for the playoffs. While it's not a formal list of rankings, I have been able to cobble together a small IDP chart with some stats that might be helpful for those of you looking for some IDP playoff help.
Congratulations to the winners. You will be contacted shortly so you can claim your prizes. I hope everyone enjoyed the contests and we'll be tweaking them in the off season based on your feedback. Look for the playoff contests later.
Playoff Weekend.
Oh yeah.
Just like it was in the good ‘ol time.
The time before the Wild Card that is.
I was 3-1 again.
How many chances did the Colts need to score?
Tears on my popcorn. The Giants went into
Dallas on Sunday and left with a W.
TonyRomo looked like
Eli Manning of the old in the 2nd half as the Cowboys got away from what worked best in the 1st half- the run game.

I was not planning on writing the yearly props article,
since, I figured, no one following me had any money left with their
bookie.
However, I received several
emails begging for my picks.
Being a
sharp gambler, I immediately realized why.
My faithful readers want to fade my selections!!!
I first want to thank everyone who took the time to read my articles. Hopefully you found them to be useful. I appreciate having the opportunity to present my thoughts and analysis to you. This article looks back at my top 15 third year WR as well as receivers heading into year three for 2008.
The final game of the year is here. It is the Giants of New York versus the Patriots of New England for the right to claim World Champion of the National Football League.

By far the most popular "office pool" is the Super Bowl Squares Game. For those beginner and experts out there I'll go through the basics of the game, remind everyone of some simple strategy, and discuss some options for your office pool organizers on how the game can be run.

The final game has its combatants.
As I predicted two weeks ago, it will be The New York Giants against The New England Patriots for the whole enchilada in two weeks.

Four teams are left in the playoffs and the 2007 fantasy season is behind us. Every week I would pick eight players that I thought would have a good or bad game depending on how they have played and the match-ups they faced. This week I review the results of those predictions and see how often I was correct or not.
The second round of the playoffs continue to shape the fantasy picture for 2008 as teams that lose may change coaches and players as well as the teams that move on. Already in the last week we have seen major changes with the retirement of Joe Gibbs and the 49ers hiring of Mike Martz.
Congratulations to
nicos28 for winning the Great White Shark League, our premier league here at FantasySharks. Our leagues are tiered so if you win you move up into a better division made up of other winners and you get to play with bigger sharks. If you lose you start to sink into the mud and we finally churn you out the back end. It's our own natural selection law of the sea and we're proud to have nicos28 be our 2007 Site Champion! If you're interested in a Shark League, check back in June/July when 2008 Shark League registration will begin again.
