For you history buffs, we will archive every article penned by the Shark Team in 2007. As each week is finished, we will move the content to this page so you can reminisce about the good old days ... like week 1.
Usually Week 1 has some easy plays; the public’s eyes are still glazed over from last year’s playoffs teams, and hot rookies. The slow and steady win the race here.
Everyone's favorite name dropping robot is back! This week with the 2007 NFL predictions, updated following the Thursday night game for better accuracy. No other website provides this level of quality control.
The much anticipated and hyped opener featuring the Saints and Colts was bound to have fantasy owners in their glory on Friday morning... right? Well, maybe just half of them.
Week 1 Brad Gillespie, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 7, 2007
You should always start your studs regardless of matchups, you drafted them to start, so start em. Sometimes your 3rd or even some 2nd wide receivers picture is not as clear. This article could help you with decisions for starting/benching your 3rd or even some 2nd wide receivers.
Games to Watch - Week 1 Chris Dolfi and Tom Braun, Fantasy Football Staff Writers Sep 6, 2007
Games to Watch returns again this season to tell you what games you absolutely, positively can't miss every week. In this 2007 season opening weekend, the guys throw out 3 big games to make sure you catch, down a Vicodin to dull the pain, wash it down with a little home-brew, and throw a little currency around.
NOTE: Above you will find the player projections by division/team. For a listing by position, use the Player Projections blue tab above. Also, don't forget to try out our Interactive Projections Tool as well as your personalized FantasySharks Lineup Coach TM
Yearly Projections:
The 2007 FantasySharks Projections and Rankings have been updated as of September 3, 2007. These are Tony Holm's projections and they will change as information becomes available, so check in for an updated copy just before your draft. The Projections are available from the Player Projections tab at the top of every window. Enjoy!
Welcome to year six of the Start/Bench List. It's hard to believe it's been six years. Thanks for coming along for the ride.
This list will include a handful of players at each skill position that has either a very favorable matchup or a matchup to avoid. Not every player at every skill position will be listed every week. Instead of a watered-down version of predicting each player's performance, this list will focus on a select group of players whose chances to succeed or fail are increased based on their opponent of the week.
For those leagues that have a pre-season waiver wire period, don't miss out. Depth charts have been adjusted, which means there are probably a few players available in your league that you should be thinking about picking up. The Weekly Waiver Wire kicks off with a few players worth checking out.

Week 1 is always the toughest week to choose a survivor pool team. You don't know who will be the surprise teams of 2007 that crush your hopes in Week 1. Here are some suggestions and rules to live by when picking your survivor team for Week 1.
The Rookie Report Paul Agruso, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 3, 2007
In this week’s edition of the rookie report, we will analyze players that appear ready to contribute to their respective teams. This 2007 Preseason All-Rookie Team will be formatted around a standard fantasy football lineup requirement of 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE and 1 K. So kick back, and let’s get started…
The boys are back with their podcast. They answer questions from the tank, #2 WR's that could be #1 WR's, Joe makes a case for Braylon Edwards and Tom quotes some Guns and Roses Shakespeare. Uhh, yeah..
Ummm ... the Chiefs stink. Bad. I like
Herm Edwards as a coach, I really do, but this is a team in transition with a lot of problems that can't be fixed over night. You know that
Chicago Bears Defense you spent that high draft pick on? Rejoice! Look for the Bears to actually look good on offense as they out play the Chiefs up and down the field.
Games to Watch - Week 2 Chris Dolfi and Tom Braun, Fantasy Football Staff Writers Sep 14, 2007
Games to Watch gives you the 3 diamonds to watch in this very rough NFL week 2. This week, the guys focus on the positives like a couple offenses out west, a chess match between two former coordinators, Rodney King, and roller coasters.
The Nuthouse Nick Pavlou, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 14, 2007
Thank God I bought my Giants season ticket. Geez. Anyway, quick and to the point this week, including victory by Team Bizarro.
Welcome back to The Hive! Week one was fun, I always enjoy seeing some of my favorite IDPs scoring big points while players I hate, like Shawne Merriman, score next to nothing. Let's see how things are going to shake out this week!
Seadog's Week #2 Doug Gaskell, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 14, 2007
Let's take a look at some of Seadog's IDP considerations for week #2

Week One passed us by like a fat kid passes up a salad, but what a week it was! Well, not really. To be honest, I thought it was a boring and lackluster weekend of football. Also, something must be done about those cheaters in New England. Randy Moss is back from his two year vacation. Did I ever mention how much I hate Tony Romo? If that wasn't enough, I have an exclusive interview with Tyler Youngren. I don't know who he is, either. Sorry, it's the best we could do on short notice. There is all kinds of fun and games behind the curtain if you care to take a peak.
It's week two, do you know who your backups are? If you have Eli Manning, Brandon Jacobs, Cadillac Williams, or Chester Taylor you are definitely getting familiar with your team depth. Remember to always check the waiver wire for spare parts as you never know when you'll need them. A QB to start this week is Jay Cutler, Denver (vs. Oakland):
If
Kitna can light up the Raiders pass defense, why not Cutler? Cutler is
still young and will make some mistakes, but the Raiders didn't exactly
put up much of a fight last week despite their success defending the
pass in '06. You could do worse than Cutler this week at home.
I hope you survived what is normally the toughest week in survivor pools. Luckily, this week seems to be easier. Check out who you should take this week!
It's back for 2007 - your FantasySharks 'Week in Review' podcast, available here weekly for your listening enjoyment. This week the guys wrap up the 2007 opening weekend and let you know if any of the Week 1 studs will repeat their performances in Week 2.
Week One is in the books, and many millions of fantasy owners are already regretting draft day. I will let you in on some of my observations that might help you in the coming weeks. For one, Lamont Jordan played
like the 2005 version of himself, granted vs the Lions, but he ran
really hard and caught the ball out of the backfield better than any
back in the league this past Sunday.

Don't Panic! Sean Vostinar aka CleffedUp, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 10, 2007
"Don't Panic!" Not only are these two words the single greatest contribution to humanity by a British author (eat it, Charles Dickens!), but also good advice for reflecting on Week 1 in the NFL...
You've seen your team in action. Now you need to evaluate what went right, what went wrong and what you need to do heading into week two.

Honestly, I'm still chuckling over the Browns and their 51 points last week. I mean really? Can anyone do anything but chuckle at that? Why is it funny? I don't know, but there's just some funny element to the Browns scoring 51 points to withstand a 45 point whoopin' of their defense. Before you run out to get yourself the latest in dog-pound mask apparel, give it some time, things are still a lot wrong in Cleveland. Jamal Lewis another bright spot this week as the Browns try and win one, the conventional way, and succeed. Don't get used to it! But back to back wins are coming home to Cleveland.
Games to Watch - Week 3 Chris Dolfi and Tom Braun, Fantasy Football Staff Writers Sep 21, 2007
This week the guys manage to discuss the properties of mirrors, run through a simple addition lesson, and discuss the inherant potential of Owen Wilson - all while letting us know which are the "can't miss" games this week. We'd ask them how they do it, but we're afraid they might actually tell us.
Welcome back to your one stop supermarket of IDP goodness, AKA The Hive. Week 2 has come and gone, so let's get your IDP lineups set for week 3!

What are you going to do with my cousin Vinnie? He calls me Friday morning last week to “cover” for him (both on this article and other ways). Hello, cousin. I’ve got a couple of things going on that day. In any rate, Vinnie did OK for the first week. 2-2 for a week is fine, but not great. Let’s see if ‘ol Mickey can do better.
Did you survive the madness that was Week 2? If you did, check out who you should take this week.

Coaches say they'll know what their teams are all about at the beginning of October. Here at Fantasysharks.com, we'll know the "true" Studs after week three. Look for adjustments to the Studs list starting next week. Hasselbeck has been average thus far in
weeks one and two throwing for 503 yards and two TDs in the first two
weeks of the season. Look for Hass and the Seahawks to post big numbers
against a Bengals defense that was shredded last week by Derek Anderson
and the Browns for 328 yards and five TDs.
Last year, Tomlinson got it into the hiz-ouse more than anyone else. In fact, it was 31 times. Now this year, he is coming up short only two weeks in. What is up with that?
Welcome to the first addition of Bullseye! The Greatest Target Report on Earth. Quite simply, a
target is a pass intended for a specific player. Targets are important
because they tell the true story about how involved a player is in his

Welcome to the wonderful world of fantasy football. As much as you would like to think you know, you come to realize, you don’t know anything. That makes me smile.

The FantasySharks 'Week in Review' podcast - available here weekly for your listening enjoyment. This week the guys wrap up Week 2 and let you know if any of this past weekend's top performers will match their output in Week 3.
Two Weeks are in the books, a little more of a sample size to judge players, and as was the case last week, injuries continue to play a role in some of the names that appear on this list. Hopefully your fantasy team(s) have been able to pick up at least one win in the early going, if not, let's see if we can't unearth some gems to help your team get into the win column.
If in week one you tested your squad and in week two you evaluated your first week then in week three you need to be proactive and make moves to improve your team or fix any wholes you have.
Another Sunday is in the books, and the season is starting to reveal some things that not a lot of people have predicted. Don't be fooled by misleading information of just two weeks of the season; I will tell you which trends will continue and which will change in a major way.

The New England Patriots just handed it to the Chargers on Sunday Night football. Tom Brady has his way throwing for 279 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Pats led 24-0 at the half. Laurence Maroney ran for 77 yards, but Sammy Morris had 51 yards and stole a TD..

As if an old and deteriorating offensive line, inexperienced quarterback and preseason hold out weren’t enough to convince you to avoid Larry Johnson in the first round, a look at his early season schedule should have iced it for you.
I also apologize for Mickey’s 1-2 record last week, let’s get back over
.500 Only one ‘key’ game this week, a no-brainer, easy winner. One
team clicking on all cylinders, the other, literally falling apart with
injuries.
Week 4 Brad Gillespie, Fantasy Football Staff Writer Sep 28, 2007
News. Injuries. Matchups. Players to watch. It's all about the wideouts here. Come see where the good matchups are and the bad ones as well.
Laurence Maroney, New England (vs. Cincinnati): I know you're frustrated Maroney owners. Last week, there were at least three play calls close to the goal line that should have gone to Maroney, that cost him anywhere from 6-18 fantasy points...
The Cowboys have been hot and
Tony Romo continues to be the player we said he would be. Our advice was to skip QB's and grab Romo late, I hope you did along with
Marion Barber,
another player we were pimping large in the preseason around here as a
5th round steal. Toot! Toot! That's the sound of our own horn. The
world is going to expect to see the Cowboys demolish the Rams with
Steven Jackson shelved with a partially torn groin,
Marc Bulger
nursing two broken ribs, a badly bruised knee and the Rams generally
stinking up the joint. Well I'm here to tell you the world, is right.

The Waiver Wire should still have some nuggets of gold out there for you. Any time a starter goes down, that bumps up everyone on that team's depth chart. This creates opportunity for the fantasy owner. While the player that is RB3 on an NFL team may not be worth a roster spot on your fantasy team, if the starter goes down, suddenly RB3 is now RB2, one step away from the promised land of RB1. The savvy fantasy owner will scoop up the players that will be potential starters, already having them on their roster when he does become the starter. Be that guy, and this will help you on the way to becoming the guy that wins the Championship.
Deuce McAllister
is out for the season and many people are thinking the Saints Offense
is in big trouble now. I on the other hand think this will actually
make them get back on track.
The Virgin has a new Bat time on the same Bat Channel. Makes me think out loud… “Holy Tuesday’s Caped Crusader!” Oh what a difference a day makes… or two.
The season is starting to move faster now. It seems as soon as you submit your roster and make your waiver claims for the week, the games have started and you’re already looking towards the next match-up on your schedule. This is the 1st week of bye's and you need to remain focus.
The Giants played defense! Tomlinson was angry... again! McNabb was cheered! Grie-se! Grie-se! Grie-se!
Another exciting week in the NFL that you can read all about right here...
